Landsknecht - Overview

This army is principally composed of Warmonger Miniatures Landsknecht figures. These have been produced via a number of kickstarters over the last few years. The aim of Warmonger has been two fold to create figures which can be used for the Warmaster Dogs of War Army, and ones that are historically based on Landsknechts. Units organised for HoW (40x40mm basing) Zweihanders - 11 units, 6 painted Halberdiers - 7 units Pikes - 7 units Crossbows - 12 units Arquebusiers - 16 units, 8 painted Combat units have 16 figures, shooters 10 figures. Warmonger also have available Knights (lances, barded horses), Riders (pistol armed cavalry), and have just announced light artillery. I can also add in some Pendraken Landsknecht figures too, 6 painted pike units, and 4 light cannon. There are likely more unpainted Pendraken troops too.

Araby- WIP cavalry

Had a sort through the lead pile of my Araby figures. Lots of cavalry being the summary! TB Line  Knights 5 units, 35 figures Heavy cavalry, 2 units, 12 figures Camel riders, 5 units, 30 figures (+ 3 spares) Mounted command 3 figures  Crossbows (need to find these, probably 3 units worth, already base coated and on painting sticks) Games Workshop Horse Archers 7 units, 28 figures Pistol cavalry, 4 units, 16 figures  Pack camels 2 Camp figures 6 & market stall Pendraken   Pack camels 6 figures  Civilians 12 figures  Magister Militum Light cavalry 22 figures (too small to use with TB Line cavalry) Units mentioned above are for HoW on 40mm square bases.

Araby - Knights

I'd been having problems with the Araby knights coming off their bases - so took the opportunity to rebase them to 40mm squares. I also added some more figures, a base of black knights, a few extra green a yellow to turn the 3 smaller WM bases per unit into 2 larger HoW bases. The blue and red cavalry are different figures, on un-barded horses, for now they will just be knights, but they do give me a medium cavalry option if needed for another army. All the figures are TB Line. Medium cavalry nearing completion.  Figures on painting sticks, nearly completion of the painting.

Araby - Cavalry

Many part painted bases of TB Line Horse Archers. These are very nice figures, with loads of detail, but I have found painting them hard work. Hence they aren't finished.  Elephants, TB line furtherst away, and Magister Militum nearer the camera. Behind them are Knights further away with cmael riders nearer.

Araby - Infantry and Artillery

Araby Guards and Spearmen. The three left hand blocks are GW Warmaster figures. At the back are Guard infantry, waving swords and having many plumes in their headgear. On the Right are Magister Militum spearmen. The back two blocks are from their Arab line, the front block are more heavily armoured, from one of the Persian ranges.  Black Powder weapons - these are all Pendraken Ottomen Turk figures. The front row re cannons, the 3 rows of yellow and blue figures are hand-gunners, then some small mortars. And behind them a pair of heavy seige guns. These figures were initially added to the army for use under the KoW Kingdoms of Men list, which was a very versatile list. Lately these troops are rather orphaned, as under HoW we have gone back to a stripped back Araby list closer to the original WM one.

Araby - Army

The whole army arrayed. Nearest the camera are TB Line Horse archers, at the far left are GW Flying Carpets. In the centre many spearmen.  Nearest the camera are various Black Powder Ottoman elements that aren't currently included in the HoW Araby army list.

Dwarves - Overview

This is another fairly new army. Initially I had a few Dwarven infantry units from the BoFA set who where part of the Dogs of War army.  Then a few cannons where added (initially as allies for KoW Men) and some gyrocopters. This just about gave me a playable force for Warband.  Then the excellent Copplestone LoTR dwarves were available on sale - so this was enough of a reason to add these to the army - giving me a good solid core of infantry. Now I just need to paint these chaps.  The main element missing from the army are missile troops. As these are definitely a slow burner project, I am in no rush to get these and will wait and hope that Copplestone will make some Dwarves with bows.  At the minute I'm steering away from some of the GW elements like the orange bearded Troll Slayers. But I am happy with the engineering and black powder elements.
